Improve Athletic Performance: Faster and More Complete Recuperation

Fast and complete recuperation are two of the most important elements of improving your athletic performance – especially if you run a hard training schedule. Faster recuperation means you don’t fall behind: you can fit more training sessions in, and you’re not out of commission for a week or two after a big event. More complete recuperation means your training sessions will be more productive: you’re body is stronger and more fully healed, ready to push harder. And if you can train harder and more often without suffering the negative consequences of over training, your performance will improve, along with your general well-being.

Masters TriAthlete Prepares for NJ Devilman Sprint Triathlon

I feel like Protein Extreme Energy & GSH Ignite have really become an important integral part of my program. I can’t imagine being able to recover and remain injury free at my age without the support of these products. Last Monday I came down with a head cold, which under “normal” circumstances would have knocked me out for at least 2-3 days, but I was able to complete all of my workouts except one run of a double session (it was raining and snowing and windy out and i just couldn’t face it with a cold…:-)

Tri Althlete Off Season Training & Recovery

FYI, even tho I’m not doing any speed training at all, I ran a 5k “fun run” on Sunday; won my age group with a 21:32 (that’s fast by my standards!!!) and felt great. My marathon was only 5 weeks ago and I am totally recovered and racing…that’s huge!

Increase In Energy, Decrease in Hunger, and Ability to Run Harder, Longer and Recover Faster

Energy level is pretty high. Normally yesterday would have been the end of the 2nd week in a 3 week cycle (2 weeks of build/1 recovery…”normal” protocol for an athlete my age), but I actually feel well enough to see what it would be like to try a 4 week cycle of 3 weeks of build/1 recovery, just like the good old days. I’ll know more after my tempo run tomorrow, but so far, I’m really impressed with my recovery.
